Soy Flour Lightly Steamed 500g
FG Roberts Gluten Free Soy Flour Lightly Steamed is gently steamed to the point where it can be readily digested by humans without any need for further cooking or processing. It has a light creamy colour and a sweet bland, “buttermilk” type flavour quite different from the earthy, beany flavour of raw soy beans and flour. It is more soluble than more highly heat treated forms of soy.
It can be used in breads, cakes, biscuits, thickenings, batters and pastries, etc. It is particularly beneficial when a lighter coloured end product is required and where it is essential not to have the soy competing for colour with and/or masking other subtly flavoured and coloured ingredients, for example, coconut, macadamia nuts and almonds.
